This project explores the correlation of financial distress and negative experience for patients with high-cost diagnoses. The Bridge app empowers patients participating in a study to access imported profile data and see what financial assistance programs match their situation; then facilitate the application process with their financial care counselor.
After working with Vivor and the Duke team to chart user paths with flow diagrams and wireframes, I designed the entire experience from beginning to end, from icons to interactions. Because healthcare financing can be scary, I chose soothing colors and a rounded typeface. The app is currently in production and scheduled for research use in early 2018.
